The "Myth Busters" Series

Today we are going to be giving some love to an often exiled food group - sugar. Poor is cursed at, drooled over, bemoaned, and craved. It never gets the neutral love that it so deserves! And the reason why is exactly the myth we are busting today, which is…….”eating sugar is unhealthy for you.”

In this episode we do a brief history lesson on how sugar has been viewed throughout time, address the myths about sugar addiction, and discuss how the diet mentality of labeling sugar as bad impacts us physically and psychologically. We also interview the super fun co-hosts of the Let Us Eat Cake podcast, Hannah Robinson, RD and Ali Eberhardt, RD about the differences in types of sugar, how our brains react to sugar, and how to find peace in our relationship with this culturally scorned but scrumptious food!
