The “Myth Busters” Series

Since 95% of dieters will regain the weight in 3-5 years, a stat thrown around often, why do people still fall for diet pitfalls? Let’s face it, when people see the captivating “success stories” on commercials, hear their friends talk about how many inches they lost, or get an ad for a new gym membership challenge, people often secretly wonder if this will finally be the answer to body satisfaction. So today….we are busting the myth that “diets are effective for permanent weight loss.”

In this episode we cover both the nutrition science and the psychology of why diets may work short term for weight loss BUT why diets don’t work long term. We also interview the fabulous Dalina Soto, RD to discuss the physical and psychological harm of dieting as well as the harm that white beauty and nutrition standards have on non-white cultures and races.
